It was important to me to experiment, to explore, and gradually develop a style that truly felt like my own. Oil as well as acrylic painting has always been my medium of choice —though I’ve occasionally ventured into watercolor as well."
"Bold, vibrant color has always been essential to my work. My subjects are often rooted in nature—drawn both from my home region and inspired by the many faraway journeys my family and I take whenever we can. But just as often, my motifs reveal themselves in fleeting “moments”: moments when the beauty of a scene or the composition of an image appears—just for an instant—before it fades back into the gray of everyday life!"

My artistic career began in 1996 at the age of 15 with my first solo exhibition (oil paintings) at the Eichhaus in Bad Dürkheim. Over the following years, I participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. My subjects have continuously evolved, but the use of bold colors runs through my work like a red thread. The themes often touch on the beauty of simple things, the untouched nature, or reflect a fleeting moment that invites the viewer to pause and reflect.
After a creative break due to professional reasons, I returned to my work in 2021, full of new ideas and energy.

1994 and the Following Years: The Blue and Pink Phase of Nude Painting
I have enjoyed painting from a young age. In 1994, I began to focus intensively on oil painting.
Copying the works of great masters from past centuries was certainly the best way to self-teach the technique of oil painting. Soon, my own subjects and compositions followed, with the theme of nude painting being the dominant focus in the first 1-2 years.
In 1996, this led to my first solo exhibition at the Eichhaus in Bad Dürkheim, which also attracted attention beyond the region.
2000 and the Following Years: A Time of Change Modern Still Lifes, Repop, and Other Themes...
The following years were marked by a wide variety of themes and an expansion of painting techniques: large-scale charcoal works, modern, poppy, colorful still lifes of fruits, vegetables, and other everyday objects, as well as abstract paintings using mixed media on paper and canvas.
The rebirth, expansion, and continuation of Pop Art, which I named and initiated as 'Repop,' presented a new exploration of the relationship between the environment, consumption, and humanity. My approach at the time was to invite the viewer into my world of thoughts, encouraging them to reflect on the issues of 'today.
As of Today – and Where the Journey Is Headed
Good things take time... After several years of intense 'searching,' it gradually became clear what I would call 'my style':
The subjects: often drawn from nature, with a close representation of reality. I love being outdoors, traveling frequently, and drawing inspiration from nature and my surroundings. In these moments, I often enjoy the peace and quiet, far from the constant stream of topics bombarding us through various channels in our daily lives.
The bold colors have remained a constant in my work to this day, and they certainly make up a large part of the character of my pieces. Positive, optimistic, fresh – I believe this really sums it up well.

Another key theme in my work is what I call 'Moments': depictions of brief seconds when our surroundings reveal their full beauty, before they quickly fade back into the 'normal' routine of everyday life. These 'Moments' are something truly special. They are rare to experience, but when they do occur, you feel the urge to capture them instantly, on canvas or another medium, for eternity.
